At Sea

We are two days out of Cartagena at sea and about 10:00 pm last night we sailed between Haiti and Jamaica.   Then, about 4:00 am we passed the southern eastern tip of Cuba on our way up the east coast to Charleston and New York. So now we are north of Cuba in a north by northwest heading.

The second day in Cartagena Ann and some friends decided to go into town and do some shopping. I chose to stay onboard and work on the blog and photos. However, I did take a short trip down to the Marina, which was about a couple hundred yards from where we were docked and visited their menagerie of animals, mainly peacocks, parrots and flamingos. There was also the odd iguana and monkey, which sadly I never saw though, were supposedly there.

Also including a couple shots of the city and some street venders.

Tomorrow we arrived in Charleston and I’m scheduled for a tour of “Civil War Charleston”. Will send you a blog and some ‘happy snaps’ at the conclusion of the tour.

Till then…
