A Very Happy New Year…!!!

Hello from England,

Train to London Royal Albert HallI hope all of you had wonderful holiday season and got all those wonderful gifts from Santa. Hopefully you didn’t eat too much turkey or whatever the faire for the evening was. We had a lovely Christmas dinner in Nettlebed with Ann’s two sisters and brother-in-laws and her nephew, Ben. Also at the table were Gareth’s brother and sister, so all in all a very festive affair.

On Monday evening, the 30th, I received a belated birthday present from Michele and Gareth. They wouldn’t tell us what it was except we had to take a train into London. We arrived in London and took a cab to a lunch spot. This wasn’t the surprise, the surprise would come later. After lunch we climbed into a taxi and we were deposited at the Royal Albert Hall for a screening of “The Artist” with the live music by the London Symphony Orchestra. It was a fabulous evening.

We’ve managed to get in a few games of golf though the weather hasn’t been all that great. It usually is about 40s so we end up getting dressed like the Michelin Man. I’ll include a shot of Annie above a bunker that the water has frozen over in.

Panarama of RAHWishing you all a very Happy New Year and we are looking forward to Duke Drive next week.

Happy New Year,
